MLK Day 2023
I spent my MLK Day in Miami, Florida at the 30th Annual MLK Jr. Scholarship Breakfast hosted by the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Foundation.
During the breakfast, in front of an audience of 2,000 people that included The Second Gentleman of the United States - Douglas Emhoff, His Excellency Philip E. Davis - Prime Minister of the Bahamas, National Spokesman - Omari Hardwick, Five Judges, Nine Mayors and many other dignitaries --- 50, yes FIFTY boys received FULL scholarships to continue their education. These boys will be attending college debt free! It was BEAUTIFUL.
By giving our boys of excellence hope for the future, a vision for greatness, and an army of mentors and community of support, we can instill in them a belief that they can accomplish anything. I love my work and I would not have wanted to be anywhere else.
