School Grades
School grades were released last week. Twenty-two schools in Duval County received a D or F grade, 18 - Ds and 4 - Fs.
Out of those 22 schools, 10 were charter schools, including two of the Fs.
This means that charter schools, which now represent 20 percent of Duval County public schools, accounted for 45 percent of “failing” school grades.
Do the state and local officials who were promoting the mass expansion of charter schools in 2019 still believe that those schools are the answer to k-12 success? They are all quiet now!
